FAQs

The minimum investment amount ranges from $5,000 through to $250,000. Each investment offering or project has its own investment minimums. 

Each project varies in offering size. For the larger offerings, we work with the borrowers or project sponsors in determining the optimal minimum investment size.

Yes! Anything offered by Fundscraper Property Trust qualifies for registered accounts.  However, the asset manager determines in its sole discretion what specific offerings of Fundscraper Property Trust will accept registered capital.  We will assist investors with setting up the related TFSA, RRSP, RRIF, etc. accounts with a third party trust company.

Fundscraper aims to provide its registered users with a diverse selection of private real estate investments offered by a variety of issuers. We specialize in investment offerings for first and second position residential mortgages as well as commercial bridge financings. We also offer investment opportunities outside of Canada.
Fundscraper on your behalf takes the same actions as any other responsible lender. We first work with the borrower to assess what the obstacle to repayment might be. Once we understand the situation, we can work on a solution. If there is no reasonable solution, then we take steps to enforce the security. The value of the security is typically less than the value of the assets we have registered security against. Therefore, if we do have to enforce the security, it is our expectation that there will be sufficient valuable real estate to fully discharge what the defaulting borrower owes which include the expenses incurred enforcing the security.
