We started Fundscraper with a simple idea: to help everyday investors build institutional quality real estate portfolios at lower costs. Our online platform makes it easy to get started with as little as $5,000.

Founder started Fundscraper in 2017 with the goal of empowering Canadian investors to access institutional quality deals and smart tools designed to grow their wealth.

2020s

Wide scale adoption by retail investors enhancing liquidity of private alternative assets, wealth automation for new investor segments driven by data analytics (63% of millennials have savings); Gen Z Empowerment; socialized-investing.

Today

Fundscraper surpassed 7,500 Registered Users for a cumulative total capital processed of over $420M into a diverse array of premium real estate backed offerings.

Luan Ha
CEO

Luan Ha, MBA, has 15+ years of experience in commercial and mixed use real property development. Formerly serving as the AVP, Development at RioCan Management Inc., Luan oversaw a $3 billion commercial mixed use project pipeline that spanned across all of Canada in a variety of real estate asset classes. 

Gregory Colford, JD, CIM
Principal Broker, Retired EVP & CCO

Gregory was a partner at Heenan Blaikie LLP until September 2005. Together with two others he founded and operated a commercial mortgage brokerage that acted for a major pension fund investing in seniors housing until June of 2012. Following that Gregory worked with a national mortgage brokerage and a leading independent financial house to create funds to finance residential Alt A mortgage origination.

John J. Pizale, BSc., JD
General Counsel

John is a member of the Law Society of Ontario. He was the former President of a major Canadian real estate developer and a Managing Partner of a prominent Toronto based law firm. He also formerly served as a Member of the Board of Trustees of a $1 billion Canadian pension fund and is a former Principal of a leading private media and internet company. As Fundscraper’s General Counsel and member of the credit committee, John provides general legal and strategic business advice related to everyday operations and corporate growth.

Terence Cheng, BBA
VP, Operations

Terence Cheng, has 10+ years of real estate investing experience in both the Canadian and Asia Pacific markets. Formerly serving as a Development Analyst at RioCan REIT, Canada’s largest real estate investment trust, he managed a multi-million dollar national commercial development pipeline with projects ranging in size from 5,000 sq.ft. to over an aggregate of 1,500,000 sq.ft. He is also a two-time Ballroom and Latin American Dancing world champion.

Todd Verstraten
VP, Tech & Innovation

Todd is an expert in building software platforms and the teams that build and operate them. He has done this at start-ups and global leaders primarily in the Fintech and Pharma spaces, formerly serving as VP of Technology at Dream (Unlimited, REIT). With more than 2 decades of experience, great software is his passion and hobby. One of Todd’s fintech start ups (a global financial database service with major pension plans and Schedule A Banks as clients) raised $15M in a seed stage financing round.

Barbara Pucher
VP, Sales & Marketing

Barbara Pucher has over 10 years experience in credit risk management, sales and business development roles at TD Commercial and Corporate Banking in Toronto and New York City. She is also a results driven entrepreneur and growth marketer with a proven track record in building and leading high performance teams, developing and launching digital products with demonstrable business impact in technology, B2C and finance.

Alexander Verstraten
Programmer, Tech & Innovation

Alexander is a member of our programming team. Prior to Fundscraper, he worked at Delta 360 Inc., and helped connect their lending management suite to multiple other systems. He enjoys learning more ways to use and connect modern technology to provide faster, easier, and better ways to do things!

John Ellis
DR, Investor Relations & Operations Associate

John holds a MA in Business Economics from the University of Dundee, United Kingdom and has lived in Toronto for the past 3 years. He is data-driven with a passion for technology and innovation. Prior to joining Fundscraper, he has worked in various financial institutions specifically in the mortgage sector with a focus on business operations and underwriting. John enjoys learning and implementing new ways to improve operational efficiency and increase overall client experience.  

Neekey Totonchian
Sales & Marketing Coordinator

Neekey has an Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication Studies from Wilfrid Laurier University, and has held a number of marketing-related volunteer positions in a diverse range of industries. Prior to completing her studies, she worked at Fundscraper as a Marketing Intern, and recently joined the firm full-time as a Sales and Marketing Coordinator.

Ginny Sivakumar
Sales & Marketing Coordinator, Designer

Ginny holds a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Media Production from Ryerson University, with a focus on transmedia and video production. Prior to Fundscraper, she worked in experiential marketing, event production, and video design. She enjoys translating stories in multiple mediums for a fuller experience!

Rokham Fard
Lead, Digital Marketing

Rokham (pronounced Ro.Ham) founded TheRedPin.com, Canada’s largest online real estate brokerage, and helped get it on the list of Profit Magazine’s “Canada’s 50 fastest growing tech startups” in 2016. He has helped raise 10s of millions of dollars and getting the team from the core founders to 150 strong. Rokham holds a bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering from University of Toronto and has professionally worked both as a Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and a software engineer capacity.

Justin Nainabasti
Operations Associate Intern

Justin is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts at University of Toronto, double majoring in Philosophy and Mathematics. He is extremely passionate about entrepreneurship and helping companies grow. His passions include programming, hiking, and reading history.

Josh Hong
Sales & Marketing Data Analyst

Josh is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Waterloo. Prior to joining Fundscraper, he completed several internships in various roles across different industries. He enjoys transforming data to provide insights to the Sales and Marketing team

Andre Kuzmicki
Board Advisor

Andre Kuzmicki is an award-winning real estate professor, a recognized commercial real estate expert, an accomplished investment executive, and an experienced and well-regarded corporate director. He currently serves on the boards of Chartwell Retirement Residences (TSX – CSH.UN), Dorsay Development Corporation, and advises ASSESS + RE, a New York based start-up. Andre was also the recipient of the 2017 NAIOP Lifetime Achievement Award.

Minhas Mohamed
Board Advisor

Minhas is President & Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of MMV Financial Inc. www.mmvf.com which is a specialty finance company providing creative debt financing to technology and life sciences companies across North America. Minhas was also the founder and Managing Partner of MM Venture Partners (predecessor firm). Since its inception in 1998, MMV and the predecessor firm have invested over US $400M in 125 companies across North America.

Khai Ha
Board Advisor

Khai Ha is a Partner of GPI and a member of the investment committee. With over 16 years of investment management and banking experience, Khai serves on a number of boards including LegalZoom and Postmates. Previously, he was a Managing Director at BTG Pactual’s Global Partnership Investing, the predecessor fund, led non-control investments at Ontario Teachers’ and worked at investment firms Moore Capital Management and Epic Capital. He started his career in mergers and acquisitions and investment banking at Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Incorporated and BMO.
